Uriah Heep 50 Years live in Athens @ Fuzz Live Music Club 15-12-2022

 Thursday 15th of December Uriah Heep visited Athens Greece as the last stop for the 50 year anniversary tour which began early on 2022.Actually the band celebrates 52 years from the year there was formed and had the first album but due to the lock down they started the tour this year.The nice surprise they had for the friends of the band was that they made a two parts concert to express the feelings of the songs and the band members.The first part was an acoustic part that didn't sound to good idea to me when i first read it but when i listened to it changed my mind and surprised me with it's dynamic.That part lasted 55 minutes and had 10 songs from the first and their newer albums that were played fantastic from Mick Davey Phil Russel and Bernie

Acoustic set 

 When the acoustic set finished the crew of the band changed the stage set very fast to prepare the electric part.The band came on stage on full power and played for 90 minutes songs that we all love from their 52 year history. Mick Box was on fire with his guitar filling the sound with his heavy riffs and playing his great solos Davey Rimmer with his fantastic bass playing was keeping the back of the band along with Russel Gilbrook superb drumming  Phil Lanzon magical keyboards and organs and the multi colored voice of Bernie Shaw which changed to cover all the previous singers of the band from earlier years gave us a night to remember.At the beginning and during the break for the stage changes we had the chance to watch videos from the wishes that send many many musicians around the world.

Mick Box at the end said that they wanted to finish the tour at a country that loves them and they love made some jokes about the cold weather they found in northern countries and how warm Athens was and renewed our appointment for next year.

Παρορμητικός και μερικές φορές βίαιος, η χρήση αλκοόλ και ναρκωτικών ουσιών του προκάλεσαν σοβαρά προβλήματα υγείας και πολλά ακόμη προβλήματα με την αστυνομία. Αλλά ο θρύλος του δεν αποδυναμώθηκε. Αντίθετα, έγινε ένας από τους πρώτους μουσικούς που μπήκαν στο "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame", όταν δημιουργήθηκε το 1986. Πέρασε μέρος των τελευταίων χρόνων του στο ράντσο του στο Νέσμπιτ του Μισισίπι, με την έβδομη σύζυγό του, και έπαιζε ακόμα μέχρι τις αρχές του 2019. Όμως, μετά από ένα ελαφρύ εγκεφαλικό επεισόδιο τον Μάιο του ίδιου έτους, ακύρωσε συναυλίες.

The Fuzztones , Sparn Dame @ Gagarin 205 LIve Music Space 7-10-22

 At 7th of October 2022 The Fuzztones came back to Athens Greece after 3 years from their last gig to give a fantastic concert after the quarantine years.They had only 2 practices before that night after some years they had to get all together in a place to play.

The support band Sparn Dame opened the night getting on stage with power and warmed up the fans that have been in the club at that time.The trio from Athens Greece with an album recently recorded had very powerful bass guitar  fantastic voice and powerful drumming.A much promising band that was perfect for the opening of the night.

The Fuzztones came on stage about  22.40 and get the whole club on the air.Rudi had a lot of energy and was very happy along with all the guys from the band Eric Marco Nico that they were playing in front of one of their favor audiences.They love Athens and Greeks and the fans return that love with big enthusiasm.Rudi has a deeper connection with Gagarin cause of Nikos Triantafilidis R.I.P. the heart of the place who brought The Fuzztones among many many other great bands in GreeceThe last time they were here they played a song dedicated to Nikos and Rudi played it again saying that he wrote it thinking him.

They played songs from all their history and of course the hits that the Greek fans love.Eric dedicated the song "Shes Wicked" to my wife Gina.I asked it from him and said sorry Gina and Rudi immediately added she doesn't look wicked.Those guys have a great sense of humor and they are very humble.

After 2 Albums they had recently they are ready for another one and Rudi is preparing another with some songs of his own that he had on side and wanted to record some day

It was a FUZZTASTIC  concert with Marco Rivagli playing most of the show standing on his drums Nico Secondini with fires on his fingers at the keyboards Eric Geevers with that blowing Bass guitar and Rudi Protrudi with a very full sound on his guitar ,very good sound adjustments (he admitted that a second guitar gives more loaded sound)

After the concert i have some time to talk with my dear friends/brothers Nico and Eric about music and the things that happen around us exchange our thoughts  agreeing that music unites people

All the crowd was ecstatic and we are waiting them to come back soon to Fuzz us all again

Ορμώμενοι από το Blackpool της Αγγλίας, οι Jethro Tull ξεκινούν το μουσικό τους ταξίδι στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του ’60. Σήμερα, με 60 εκατομμύρια πωλήσεις δίσκων παγκοσμίως, περισσότερα από 21 άλμπουμ μεταξύ των οποίων 11 χρυσά και 5 πλατινένια και με περισσότερες από 3,000 live εμφανίσεις σε 40 χώρες, οι Jethro Tull έχουν χαρακτηριστεί ως ένα από τα πιο σημαντικά και εκκεντρικά progressive rock συγκροτήματα του 20ου αιώνα.

Στο κέντρο της σκηνής ξεχωρίζει η εμβληματική περσόνα του Ian Anderson, ο οποίος παίρνει τον ρόλο του ηγέτη του γκρουπ. Με μια καλλιτεχνική ευφυΐα που ξεχώρισε ήδη από τα πρώτα βήματα της μπάντας, ο Anderson τολμά να βάλει το φλάουτο σαν βασικό όργανο στη μηχανή των Jethro Tull, κάνοντάς το παράλληλα σήμα κατατεθέν του συγκροτήματος.

Release Athens 2022 19-7-22 / Clutch, The Hellacopters, Blues Pills , Deaf Radio, ΛΔΛΜ

 19th of July was the 10th day of the Release Athens Festival with headliners the American band  Clutch.

At 17.45 the Greek band ΛΔΛΜ came at the stage in front of a small group of audience cause of the sun and heat.Never the less they played like they were playing in a full stadium with energy and passion their indie rock music.

At about 18.15 the other Greek band Deaf Radio came on stage.A band that has already 2 albums, more experienced played their alternative rock songs with more audience and many of their friends, giving a show for them and all of us who were there.

Next came on stage the Blues Pills a fantastic hard rock blues band with Elin Larsson their singer making everyone on the audience to turn their heads towards them.Her strong melodic voice combined with the great music of the band made the crowd cheering and dancing at their crazy rhythm.Big moment when she started surf crowding over the fans,while she was singing and having fun with the crowd.People didn't let them go asking for more and they gave us a song to remember and the promise of coming back soon.

It was 21.00 when The Hellacopters came on stage with the crowd screaming and cheering them.First time in Greece after 24 years of existence something that they also said later wondering why they haven't been here before and giving the promise that they will return.In 1 hour and 40 minutes that they stayed on the stage they played songs from all their history till now and some new songs from their latest album.A fantastic band with a sound of 60s 70s hard rock powerful vocals, fast guitars, heavy bass guitar and keyboards that made us all jump and dance.They played 2 encores something unusual for a band that performs before the headliners.It was a great gig and we all want to see them again

At 23.00 it was the time of Clutch to come on stage after the big cheers of the audience.7th time in Greece and they feel like home here.The band is together for 30 years with the same musicians and they play so tight that they make it feel like they practice on their garage.Many songs from their history covered all the fans in a 1 hour 40 minutes set with 2 of their new songs that will be in their new album.Better performance from their last and one of their best here,

Release Athens 2022 @Judas Priest, Cradle of Filth, The Dead Daisies, Black Soul Horde 15-07-22

 On Friday 15 of July 2022 Judas Priest came on Greece as part of their world tour for the 50 years of the band.Along with them played Cradle of Filth The Dead Daisies and Black Soul Horde.

 Black Soul Horde came first on stage under the hot sun with 36 degrees Celsius temperature and vibrate the area with their powerful metal songs.Strong riffs and deep voice made the crowd cheer them.

At 19.00  The Dead Daisies came on stage having a small problem with the heat but without loosing their energy.For an hour Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Bad Moon Rising, Dio, Burning Rain, Revolution Saints) was bombing us with his guitar solos and backing vocals and talking to the crowd making them cheering, Glenn Hughes (Trapeze, Deep Purple, Black Country Communion) with his screaming voice and the powerful bass was hitting us in the lungs, Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, Foreigner, Ozzy Osbourne) with his tremendous drumming and David Lowy (founder of the band on 2013 and official pilot of it) with his guitar riffs solos and backing vocals made all of us dancing and singing.They played a mix of old,new songs and covers so perfectly that time passed very quickly and leave us wanting more of their music.The band promised that they will come back soon, something we all anticipate.

Cradle Of Filth came on stage at 20.30 with a macabre sound from the depths of hell and brought a big pack of their fans close to the stage.All the band with dark make up on their faces and leather clothes start bombing the crowd with their music for 1 hour and 30 minutes.The band that exists almost 30 years knows how to make the crowd having a good time.

At 22.25 Judas Priest came on stage with smokes and a huge metal cross full with lights over their heads making the crowd cheering and screaming.Rob Halford came on stage with his long leather jacket and begun to scream at us giving a great welcome to the show that the band prepared.The great guitar riffs and solos that everyone loves and are their trade mark were vibrating the atmosphere with Richie Faulkner and Andy Sneap calling the fans to join the singing.Ian Hill with his bass behind next to Scott Travis and his huge drum set were basting our chests.Rob Halford in a constant communication with the fans was singing and screaming with his unique voice one after the other all the big hits of the band, old and newer.A great show that lasted about 1 hour and 40 minutes that left the fans want more and the promise of Rob Halford that he will be back soon to his beloved Greece after thanking us very warmly and emotional

The second metal day of the festival was fantastic and we are waiting for the next ones that coming soon.Many thanks to all the people of the Release Athens Festival for their hospitality and their help
